Dear HitchHiker Community,
We hope this message finds you well and that you're enjoying your HitchHiker experience. We have some exciting news and important updates to share with you today:
- HitchHiker's Strong Growth Post-COVID-19: We are thrilled to announce that HitchHiker is not only still operating but has shown remarkable growth and resilience since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our commitment to providing a reliable and safe platform for Peer-to-Peer Shopping has allowed us to not only weather the challenges but to come out stronger than ever.
- Important Notice for Our Egyptian Users: We want to inform our Egyptian users about recent regulatory changes. The Central Bank of Egypt has imposed restrictions on the use of debit cards for international purchases. This measure has been taken to decrease the selling pressure on the USD.
- Credit Cards Are Not Affected: Please note that this restriction applies to debit cards only. If you possess a credit card, you can still make international purchases without any hindrance. We encourage our users to explore the use of credit cards for international transactions during this period.
- Exciting New Feature Coming Soon: We have some great news for all HitchHiker users, especially those residing outside of Egypt. We are working diligently to introduce a new feature that will enhance your experience. Soon, travelers residing outside of Egypt will be able to make purchases on your behalf for international orders. This unique solution will enable you to pay for these orders in local Egyptian pounds (EGP), with a fair price of USD negotiated between both parties. Additionally, this feature will eliminate any limits for new HitchHiker users who are travelers, allowing for even greater flexibility.
We believe this new feature will not only simplify international shopping but also foster a more dynamic and engaging community. We appreciate your continued support, and we're excited to bring you more features and improvements to enhance your HitchHiker experience.
As always, we are here to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. Feel free to reach out to our support team if you need further information or assistance.
Thank you for being a part of the HitchHiker community, and we look forward to continuing our journey together.
Best regards,
HitchHiker Team
